Food lovers and aspiring chefs, mark your calendars. Alicante’s local cuisine takes centre stage on 20 April with the launch of “Flavours of Alicante”, a full day gastronomic event at Casa Mediterráneo.
The fair style event will showcase local products, culinary talent and hospitality innovation, bringing together chefs, producers and food enthusiasts from across the province.
A celebration of local flavours
Running from 10:00 to 20:00, the event will highlight Alicante’s rich culinary identity while promoting kilometre zero ingredients and regional specialities.
Although the day is aimed primarily at hospitality professionals, it is also open to the general public, making it a perfect opportunity for anyone passionate about food.
Live showcookings and tastings
One of the main attractions will be live showcooking demonstrations from local restaurants, where chefs will prepare dishes using locally sourced ingredients.
Even better, attendees will be able to taste the creations afterwards, offering a delicious way to experience Alicante’s culinary creativity.
Tastings and live music
The programme also includes other specialised tastings led by Makro, Luga Sabores and Aceitunas La Explanada.
As a new addition this year, the garden area will host a relaxed social space with live music throughout the day.
Innovation
Alongside the cooking demonstrations, the venue will host industry suppliers and exhibitors presenting products, services and ideas for hospitality businesses.
Participating companies include:
- Roldan Netya
- Unifarmes Santa Barbara
- Exposervi
- Gelato al Plato
- Economato Iberico
- DM Energy
- Roque Artesanos
- Restaurante Píllame Confesa
These stands will provide networking opportunities and showcase new trends in the sector.
