If you love life on the road, Monóvar has something special planned. The town will host its First Motorhome and Campervan Gathering from 12 to 14 June.

The event will bring together fans of travelling tourism for a weekend packed with culture, food and local experiences.

The event will be centred around Les Moreres football ground.

Monóvar campervan gathering: culture and local flavour

Over three days, visitors can enjoy:

  • Guided tours of the historic centre
  • Cultural visits and heritage experiences
  • Wine tastings and local product sampling
  • Live music and entertainment
  • Activities supporting local shops and businesses

Friday 12 June: Welcome and wine tasting

The gathering kicks off on Friday afternoon, with campervans and motorhomes arriving from 15:00. Participants will then be free to explore the historic centre before enjoying a night-time wine and local produce tasting at the Torre viewpoint.

Saturday 13 June: Culture, shopping and celebration

Saturday begins with the official opening at 10:00, followed by a day of activities focused on discovering Monóvar’s culture and traditions.

Highlights include:

  • Visit to the Monóvar Arts and Crafts Museum
  • Wine tasting at the museum
  • Visit to the Municipal Market with live music and vermouth
  • Group lunch for participants

In the afternoon, the town centre will host the Local Commerce Festival, featuring:

  • Street performances
  • Fashion shows and parades
  • Gastronomic zones
  • Shopping outlets
  • Live concerts

The aim of the Monóvar Campervan Gathering is to bring visitors closer to local shops, restaurants and town life.

Sunday 14 June: The Azorín Route

The event concludes on Sunday with the Azorín Route, including a guided visit to the Azorín House-Museum, dedicated to the famous writer born in Monóvar.

The weekend wraps up with a farewell vermouth in the museum courtyard, followed by a closing lunch.

Alongside cultural activities, the programme includes wine tastings, local food experiences and special menus in participating restaurants, highlighting the connection between road travel and gastronomy.
