If Aspe has been feeling a little more lively lately, there’s a good reason. Aspe’s population is continuing to grow, according to the latest figures from Spain’s National Statistics Institute (INE).
Official data places Aspe’s population at 22,862 residents at the end of 2025, an increase of around 500 people compared to the previous year. The figures also confirm a steady upward trend, with nearly 2,000 new residents arriving over the past three years.
Aspe’s population growth: New challenges
Mayor Antonio Puerto welcomed the growth, highlighting that the numbers reflect the town’s growing appeal as a place to live, as well as the social and economic momentum in recent years.
However, he also acknowledged that the population growth brings new challenges. The Town Hall will continue working to adapt public services, infrastructure and municipal resources to meet the needs of a growing community.
