The Feria de San Isidro returns to Castalla later this month, with organisers expecting up to 80,000 visitors for one of the Costa Blanca’s biggest traditional fairs.

The event takes place from 22 to 24 May and will once again transform Castalla into a huge open-air showcase of food, music, commerce, culture and local traditions.

A major event for the region

Town hall officials describe the fair as one of the municipality’s most important economic and tourism events of the year.

This year’s Feria will feature:

  • 280 exhibitors, including 44 local businesses
  • 43,000 square metres of exhibition space
  • Parking for thousands of vehicles
  • Dedicated motorhome areas
  • Concerts, markets and family activities throughout the weekend

The official opening takes place on Saturday 23 May at 11:30.

More than just a market

The fair combines several themed areas spread across the town.

Visitors will find:

  • A medieval market in the historic centre
  • Food and local produce zones
  • Fairground rides and attractions
  • Equestrian displays
  • Classic cars and motorcycle gatherings
  • Live concerts and performances
  • Children’s entertainment and workshops

Organisers say this year’s layout has been redesigned to create a smoother route between the different sections of the event.

New features for 2026

Several additions are planned this year, including:

  • Large LED information screens across the site
  • A stage of the Challenge Alicante Interior cycling event
  • A provincial folklore gathering
  • Expanded fairground areas
  • A new natural performance space at Plaza Font Vella
  • A popular low-cost community breakfast on Saturday morning

The motorhome area has also been relocated to improve access and circulation.

A fair with deep local roots

Mayor Jesús López described the fair as a key showcase for the town’s culture, hospitality and businesses.

Meanwhile, councillor José Rico said the aim is to keep evolving the event while preserving its traditional character.

With medieval streets, live music, horses, food stalls and thousands of visitors filling the town, Feria de San Isidro has become one of the best-known spring events in inland Alicante.
