Across both days, visitors can drop in and take part in a wide range of hands-on activities. Enjoy Chinese calligraphy and painting to Kung Fu, Tai Chi, mask making, lantern crafts and traditional games.

Organisers will also display an exhibition of Chinese artwork throughout the weekend.

Each day begins at 10:30 with a Lion Dance and the display of auspicious fish lanterns at the entrance to Espacio Séneca.

From 11:00 to 11:30, participants can join sessions on Gong Fu tea preparation techniques alongside calligraphy and painting. The late morning continues from 11:45 to 12:15 with Tai Chi. You can also take part in craft workshops focused on lantern making and traditional mask creation.

Tea tasting and music

From 12:30 to 13:15, the spotlight turns to a Lion Dance workshop, where visitors can learn the movements and meaning behind this iconic performance.

Running alongside the main activities, a separate area will host short readings of Chinese stories and tea tastings from 11:30 to 11:45. If you miss those slots they will be repeated from 12:15 to 12:30.

Saturday’s programme will finish on a musical high note with a live concert of traditional Chinese instruments starting at around 13:30.

Organisers offer free entry to all activities and allocate places on a first-come, first-served basis until they reach capacity.

For anyone curious about Chinese culture or simply looking for a family-friendly weekend event, Espacio Séneca promises two mornings full of creativity.
