The Casanovas Orchestra has unveiled its programme of Family Concerts for 2026 which will be held in Torrevieja. Each concert will be held on a Sunday at midday at the Municipal Theatre.

- 25 January will present Música e Instrumentos del Mundo (Music and Instruments of the World) with actor Ivan Gisbert.
- 15 March will bring Sonrisas y Lágrimas “Musical” (The Sound of Music, A Musical) featuring singer Maria Sabater.
- 10 May will offer Un Conciertazo para Todos (A Concert for Everyone).

Torrevieja’s Councillor for Culture, José F. Sánchez, highlighted the project’s positive impact in bringing music to people of all ages, especially children. He also praised the current success of the Francisco Casanovas Association, which now counts more than 300 members.
Maestros Zubin Mehta and Enrique García Asensio serve as the Association’s honorary presidents and artistic directors. The Association is also hosting the exhibition A Life Like a Film, which is set to travel to Barcelona. Sánchez added that the organisers are preparing commemorative events for the 40th anniversary of Maestro Casanovas’s death and will announce further details soon.
Music and Instruments of the World
This concert will take the audience on a musical journey through the full range of orchestral instruments. It will explore their personalities and possibilities, along with works in which composers expressed their musical ideas in a clear and distinctive way.
The Sound of Music, Musical
This family concert tells the well loved story inspired by the classic film The Sound of Music, featuring many of its most famous songs.
A concert for everyone
This lively concert brings together iconic works, from brief opera passages to cheerful pieces such as waltzes and marches.
