If seeing in the New Year in style is your cup of tea, then Benidorm is the place to be.
The city will welcome 2026 with a huge open-air party on Wednesday, 31 December, on Levante Beach. Now in its ninth year, the celebration is expected to be enjoyed by thousands of people.
The party will get underway at 18:00 at the junction of Paseo de Levante and Avenida de Bilbao. The evening will feature background music and DJ sessions. As in previous years, grapes and party accessories will be handed out to partygoers, courtesy of the many beachfront venues taking part in the celebrations.
New Year in Benidorm
Shortly before midnight, a live link will connect Levante Beach with Madrid’s Puerta del Sol. This means partygoers can follow the traditional twelve chimes on giant screens installed along the Paseo de Levante. After the chimes, at around 00:15, a fabulous fireworks display will light up the sky.
Benidorm will also celebrate the UK New Year. In a nod to the large British community and visitors, at 01:00 Spanish time there will be a live connection with the BBC to broadcast the chimes of Big Ben from London.
New Year’s afternoon celebrations
This spectacular New Year’s Eve event is not the only festive proposal from Benidorm’s hospitality sector. Bars and restaurants on Calle Santo Domingo are also organising a “Christmas Afternoon” on 24 December and a “New Year’s Afternoon” on 31 December.
Both events will start at 12:30 on Santo Domingo itself and will feature two stages with DJ performances by Miguel Torres and Juampi, keeping the party atmosphere going well into the afternoon.
