Low-cost rail operator Ouigo is gearing up for a major flash sale that will put thousands of discounted seats on sale between Alicante and Madrid, with fares starting from just €9.
The promotion, which launches next week, will apply to travel during the second half of the year, between 3 August and 12 December 2026.
The discounted tickets will be available across the 15 routes Ouigo operates in Spain. This includes both Alicante–Madrid and Elche–Madrid connections.
Trains Alicante to Madrid sale: Early access
Passengers eager to secure the lowest fares will have the option of early access through the Ouigo app. The presale opens on 4 March at 10:00, giving registered users a 24-hour head start before tickets go on general sale via the website on 5 March at 11:00.
To access the presale, customers need to download the app, create an account and activate notifications in advance.
As with previous flash sales, tickets are limited and prices are expected to rise as availability decreases.

The Alicante–Madrid high-speed route has become increasingly competitive in recent years. Budget rail options have driven down fares and offered travellers a cheaper alternative to flights or driving.
With seats from €9, Ouigo’s latest campaign is likely to attract strong demand from commuters, students and holidaymakers planning late-summer and autumn trips to the capital.
There are bargains for those flexible with dates and quick on the booking button. This sale could offer one of the cheapest ways to travel between the Costa Blanca and Madrid this year.
