Fancy a scenic jog? La Marina Cross Country Race is lacing up its trainers for the 13th Pins i Mar (Pines and Sea).
The race will take place on Sunday, 21 September.
This year’s race winds through the town centre and into the surrounding pine forest, with sea views. The course covers a total of 8,650 metres, or just over 8 km if you are counting every stride.
La Marina Cross Country Race: How to register
Anyone keen to take part can sign up at chiplevante.com. The fee is €12 for adults and just €2 for children. Around 600 adult runners and more than 100 children in the junior races are expected.
Races and rewards
The main race sets off at 09:30, while the kids’ dash starts at 11:30. Everyone who registers gets a runner’s bag, and children also take home a medal and a goodie bag. Trophies and gifts will be handed out to winners across the different categories.
