- Hospital General Universitario Doctor Balmis
- Hospital General Universitario de Elche
In addition, Hospital Universitario del Vinalopó appears in the top 100 private hospitals list.

Sant Joan Hospital climbs the ranking
Hospital Universitario Sant Joan d’Alacant scored 3,939 points and now ranks 41st in Spain. Last year it was in 54th place, so this marks a strong improvement.
It is now the third highest ranked public hospital in the Valencian Community. Only two centres are ahead:
- Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe, ranked 6th nationally
- Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia, ranked 26th
Sant Joan has also gained special recognition for its Nuclear Medicine department. For the first time, this speciality appears in the national ranking and enters directly at number 15 in Spain. This highlights the work of its clinical teams and their use of modern diagnostic and treatment technology.
Doctor Balmis Hospital makes a strong jump
Hospital General Universitario Doctor Balmis in Alicante has also improved its position. It now ranks 47th in Spain with 3,827 points. In the previous edition it was 68th.
This rise reflects progress in specialist care, updated facilities and a greater focus on patient experience.
Elche Hospital maintains steady progress
Hospital General Universitario de Elche is ranked 81st nationally with 3,248 points. It previously stood at 86th place.
While the increase is smaller, it confirms a steady upward trend and secures its place in Spain’s top 100 hospitals.
Private hospitals on the Costa Blanca also recognised
Several private centres in the province appear in the national private hospital ranking:
- Clínica Vistahermosa Grupo HLA, ranked 30th
- Hospital IMED Elche, ranked 57th
- Clínica Benidorm, ranked 75th
- Hospital Universitario del Vinalopó, ranked 76th
