In Alicante, the long-standing tradition of making Nativity scenes comes to life through a special collection of Christmas displays.

Made by members of the Alicante Nativity Scene Association, these pieces reflect the story of Jesus’ birth and parts of his life.

Alongside the local displays, the museum also has Nativity scenes from other countries, showing how different cultures celebrate the same story.

The museum is set inside a carefully restored old house in Alicante’s historic centre, and a well-preserved water cistern inside the building reminds visitors of the home’s long history.

Admission is free.
