Motorbikes, scenery, and solidarity come together in the Ruta del Agua, a charity motorbike ride through the most scenic parts of the Vega Baja del Segura.
Starting in Benejúzar
The ride begins on Sunday 22 March 2026 in Benejúzar. Participants will first meet at Bar Cafetería Mamalu, located in the town hall square.
Afterwards, local authorities, including the mayor, will welcome attendees before the ride departs.
The ride is also supported by motorbike groups such as Moteros Centauros del Alba and Moto Peña Los Arcasiles.
Registration and participation
To join, participants pay €20 per person, which includes the motorbike route, a meal, and a charity T shirt. Alternatively, T shirts can be purchased separately for €10.
If you cannot attend, you can still support the cause via the “fila cero” donation option. Before departure, music will play, and a photo area will allow riders to capture the moment with their bikes.
A route shaped by water and landscape
The route highlights the identity of the Vega Baja, a region known for water, agriculture, and natural beauty. From Benejúzar, the ride passes through Jacarilla, along quiet roads lined with orange groves and farmland.
Next, riders reach Embalse de La Pedrera, where they can enjoy scenic hills and panoramic views. Afterwards, the ride continues to San Miguel de Salinas and the Laguna Rosa de Torrevieja, with a refreshment stop nearby.
Then, riders follow the N-332, passing the Salinas de Santa Pola, a haven for flamingos and herons, and near the Parque Natural de El Hondo. The final stretch leads inland through the Sierra de Callosa, arriving at Callosa de Segura.
Finally, the ride concludes at Restaurante Niágara, where participants share a meal, enjoy live music, and take part in a charity raffle.
How to take part
Registration runs from 09:00 to 09:30 at the plaza del Ayuntamiento de Benejúzar. The ride departs at 10:00 and finishes around 13:30, followed by a group meal from 14:00 to 16:00.
