Travel Spain in style. For €60 a month, you can get unlimited travel on a wide range of public transport.
Spain has introduced a nationwide public transport pass called the Abono Único (Single Season Ticket). It is designed to help both residents and visitors rely less on cars while making travel more affordable.

What the €60 pass actually gives you
The Abono Único is a personal pass and cannot be shared. It gives you unlimited travel for 30 consecutive days across several types of transport.
It includes:
- State-run buses
- Renfe Cercanías (local commuter trains in cities like Madrid, Barcelona and València)
- Renfe Media Distancia (medium-distance routes)
- Some regional high-speed services such as Renfe Avant
The pass works across the country, connecting major cities and regional areas. You can travel between places such as:
- Madrid to Salamanca
- Alicante to Murcia
- Ourense to A Coruña
- Barcelona to Tortosa
For €60, it offers a simple way to travel widely without buying multiple tickets.
A cheaper option for younger travellers
There is also a reduced price for younger people. If you are 26 or under and born on or after 01 January 2000, you can get the same pass for €30.
To get this discount, you need to register on the Spanish transport ministry website. Registration is free. Once completed, you receive a code that allows you to buy the discounted pass online.
Before you travel
Although the pass allows unlimited travel, there are a few rules to keep in
mind.
For most bus routes, you will need to book a seat in advance. Usually, you can only hold one booking per direction per day, unless you cancel your existing one.
If you are heading to popular destinations such as Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla or València, check in advance if a reservation is needed.
Bookings can be made online through the transport provider or at local ticket offices.
For trains:
- Cercanías and Media Distancia often do not need reservations
- Renfe Avant services usually require booking ahead
