Calling all food lovers: Pilar de la Horadada is serving up a gastronomy weekend, so tasty you won’t want to miss it!

On 24 and 25 October, the Plaza de la Iglesia will transform into the heart of the town’s culinary scene. The town will be brimming with flavours, aromas and traditions from across the region.

Across both days, visitors can enjoy a packed line-up of free activities. From live cooking shows by top chefs to tasting sessions, hands-on workshops and a showcase of local produce.

Expect plenty of tempting bites, passionate cooks, and a real celebration of Pilar’s gastronomic identity.

Pilar de la Horadada’s gastronomy: Extra Flavour

Adding extra flavour to the festivities, the event will also host the Ruta de la Tapa 2025 awards ceremony. Between 12 and 21 September, locals and visitors sampled dozens of creative tapas from participating bars and restaurants. The big reveal of the winners, chosen by both public and professional juries, will honour the town’s most inventive and talented chefs.

Mayor José María Pérez Sánchez highlighted how food brings people together. “Gastronomy is a meeting point for residents and visitors alike. It is a way to share our culture and enjoy the skill of our chefs and producers,” he said, inviting everyone to take part.

The weekend wouldn’t be complete without the support of local restaurants, wineries and artisans, who will be on hand with tastings and traditional products to make sure no one leaves hungry.
