Grab your walking shoes. Benidorm has opened a new entrance and walking path at Parque de El Moralet, giving residents and visitors another way to explore one of the city’s largest green areas.
The new access point links the park with Calle Presidente Adolfo Suárez, close to the Barranco de Xixo. This connection makes it easier for people in the surrounding neighbourhood to enter and leave the park.
Fire prevention work
The new path forms part of the third phase of fire prevention work in El
Moralet.
Earlier work focused on improving safety across the woodland. Crews created firebreaks, installed thermal cameras to detect possible fires, and carried out pruning and vegetation clearing in several areas of the park.
Benidorm: Parque de El Moralet
The new entrance sits on the northern side of Calle Presidente Adolfo Suárez.
Workers cleared and levelled the area before installing a wooden barrier and creating a walking trail of around 200 metres. The path links directly with the park’s main route.
According to the council, the entrance will be particularly useful for residents living nearby. It allows them to reach the main trail quickly and easily.
Maps and Information for Visitors
Information boards now stand at the new entrance. They include maps of the park and nearby walking routes, helping visitors navigate the different trails.
Projects like this support Benidorm’s approach to protecting its natural environment while making green spaces easier to enjoy.
One of Benidorm’s Key Natural Spaces
Parque de El Moralet remains one of Benidorm’s most important natural areas. The park features pine woodland, walking routes and views across the surrounding countryside.
