This October, the night sky comes to Elda. On Friday, 17 October, the Paurides Foundation will open the “Astrophotography” exhibition.
Enjoy a blend of science, art, and environmental reflection. The exhibition will run until 31 October and is free to visit. The official opening will take place at 20:30 on 17 October.
The exhibition invites visitors to marvel at the wonders of the cosmos while thinking about the world a little closer to home. Councillor for the Environment Cristina Rodríguez spoke of the importance of connecting with nature from a global perspective.
She emphasised that the council remains firmly committed to protecting the area’s natural heritage, reminding the public that the night sky is an essential part of that heritage too.
Rodríguez also noted that reducing light pollution is vital This is not only so that people can enjoy great views of the stars but also to protect biodiversity and save energy.
