Photography enthusiasts across Spain can take part in the fourth Artichoke Photography Contest of Dolores. The competition celebrates one of the most recognisable agricultural products of the Vega Baja del Segura.
Anyone aged 18 or over who lives in Spain can enter the competition. Both professional photographers and amateurs may take part.
Participants must submit photographs linked to the theme “Alcachofa de Dolores” (Artichoke of Dolores).
The jury will judge each entry on creativity, originality and photographic quality.
They will also look at how well the image captures the artichoke, its agricultural setting or its connection with the municipality.
Cash prizes for the winners
The organisers will award two prizes:
- First prize: €400
- Second prize: €200
The competition offers a total prize fund of €600, and the organisers will transfer the prize money directly to the winners.
Each participant may submit up to three photographs, but the jury will award only one prize per author.
Photographs must not have won prizes in other competitions.
