Warming up for Bendorm Fest: Tapas, music and culture

Visitors to Benidorm can enjoy a mix of food, music and culture in the run-up to Benidorm Fest. Celebrate with a packed programme of side events getting under way this week.

TapaFest kicks things off

Friday, 6 February, sees the launch of TapaFest, with the participation of 20 restaurants across the city.

Until Sunday 15 February, each venue will be serving a creative tapa at a price of €3.50.

As in previous years, customers can rate the tapas they try. Everyone who takes part will automatically be entered into a draw to win a pair of tickets for the live final of Benidorm Fest 2026.

Exhibition celebrating Benidorm’s musical past

TapaFest is just one of several activities linked to Benidorm Fest this week. On Saturday at 12.30, an exhibition will open at the Espai d’Art del Ayuntamiento de Benidorm. It will look back at past musical festivals in Benidorm.

The display focuses on the years from 1960 to 1965, when the famous Golden Mermaid trophy was first awarded, and includes original documents, photographs, magazines and programmes.

It also connects past and present with items from Benidorm Fest, including the two outfits worn by last year’s winner, Melody.

The exhibition will be open until Sunday 15 February:
