Calling all budding photographers, the Sax Mountain Group Photography contest is back!
Any mountaineers, photo enthusiasts or people with an eye for nature are encouraged to take part. So, whether you are a professional or someone who just enjoys clambering up hills with a smartphone, the invitation is open.
Sax Mountain Group Photography Contest: Rules & regs
Each person can submit up to three photographs by email, in JPG format, in either colour or black and white. The organisers do insist on a minimum size of 1600 pixels. Watermarks, frames or any other additions are strictly off the table, though digital retouching is allowed.
This year’s theme is “The Mountain”, which leaves things wide open. Landscapes, climbing, skiing, caving, canyoning, biking, even the odd ethnographic detail of life lived high above sea level, it all counts.
There are prizes to tempt you too: €200 for first place, €150 for second and €100 for third. The winning photos will become the property of the Sax Mountain Group.
The deadline for submissions is Sunday, 9 November. All works will go on display at the Exhibition Hall of the Mayordomía de San Blas on Calle Médico Cortés in Sax. The exhibition is set to open on Friday 28 November at 19:00 and will run until Saturday 29 November at 20:30.
Have your say!
For the first time, the winners will be decided by popular vote. Visitors to the exhibition can pick up a ballot, mark up to five favourites, and slip it into the box. Only one vote per person is allowed.
