Do you fancy exploring the Costa Blanca without the stress of parking?

Hop on the tram and let the tracks take you through one of Spain’s prettiest coastal regions.

The Costa Blanca trams network runs from Alicante to Dénia, weaving through top spots like Benidorm, Villajoyosa, Altea, and Calpe. It is cheap, comfy, and easy to use.

From Alicante to Benidorm (Line 1)

Start your trip in Alicante at the Luceros station and set off towards Benidorm. It’s about 45 kilometres and full of great sights on the way. You can get off at El Campello to stretch your legs along the seafront, or visit Villajoyosa with its rainbow-coloured houses. Eventually, you will land in Benidorm. If you are into theme parks, Terra Mítica is just a short tram hop away too.

A university detour (Line 2)

Not quite as scenic, Line 2 links central Alicante to San Vicente del Raspeig. It is mainly for students heading to the university. If you fancy a visit, there is a lovely park (Lo Torrent) for a picnic, and a museum on campus.

Sun, sand, and stops for ice cream (Line 3)

Line 3 is one for the beach lovers. It runs from Alicante up to El Campello and stops near some of the area’s best beaches. Jump off at San Juan or Muchavista.

Short and sweet (Lines 4 & 5)

Staying close to Alicante? Lines 4 and 5 cover the city’s coastal gems. There is Postiguet Beach just beneath Santa Bárbara Castle, and Cabo de las Huertas. You can also hop off at Albufereta for a dip or visit the Lucentum ruins, the old Roman bit of Alicante, and surprisingly well-preserved considering its age.

Benidorm to Dénia (Line 9)

Line 9 runs from Benidorm to Dénia and offers a mix of mountains, sea, and picture-postcard towns. El Albir, Altea and Calpe. Keep going and you will pass through Benissa and Teulada before reaching Dénia.
