Tucked inside a 19th-century mansion surrounded by a lush orchard, the Casa de L’Hort in Onil is home to the Doll Museum (Museo de la Muñeca).
This stately building now preserves a unique slice of cultural heritage, celebrating Onil’s historic role as a major centre for doll manufacturing in Spain.
As you step inside, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a fascinating collection of dolls that spans generations. From porcelain dolls of the 1800s to modern favourites, including a playful Playmobil exhibition, the museum tells the story of changing tastes.
The displays also highlight the evolution of materials, techniques, and styles that reflect the creativity and care behind these tiny works of art. The museum is ideal for families, collectors, or anyone curious about local tradition.
You can visit from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 14:00, with additional hours on Saturdays from 17:00 until 20:00.
