A not to be missed event is one of Spain’s most exciting young music groups, Délica Chamber Orchestra in Elche.
The group is made up of twelve talented musicians from around the world
The chamber orchestra has already performed in top European venues such as Cadogan Hall in London, Palau de la Música in Barcelona, Kursaal in San Sebastián, and both Teatro Real and Auditorio Nacional in Madrid.
The concert will take place on Sunday 5 October at 19:00 in the Gran Teatro of Elche, (C/ Kursaal, 1, 03203 Elx, Alicante).
On this special evening, Délica will perform unforgettable hits by Queen, ABBA, The Beatles and other pop legends, offering a lively programme filled with some of the greatest melodies of all time.
The orchestra is formed by twelve women, graduates of some of Europe’s most prestigious conservatoires, including the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Hannover University of Music, Cologne University of Music, and the Queen Sofía College of Music in Madrid.
Their diverse international backgrounds come together in a performance style full of energy, elegance and charm. Their repertoire spans everything from Baroque and classical masters like Bach, Vivaldi and Mozart to more modern figures such as Piazzolla, De Falla and Tchaikovsky.
Since its formation in 2017, Délica has performed at major venues across Spain and abroad, including a UK tour that featured a concert at London’s famous Cadogan Hall.
Programme: Best-loved songs in pop
The programme for Elche includes some of the best-loved songs in pop history. From Queen’s Somebody to Love, Bohemian Rhapsody and Don’t Stop Me Now to ABBA classics like Mamma Mia, The Winner Takes It All and Dancing Queen. The Beatles will also be well represented with hits such as Come Together, Let It Be and Hey Jude. The evening also features Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean and Smooth Criminal, Aerosmith’s Dream On and Scorpions’ Still Loving You.
