Christmas is arriving in Dolores and bringing lots of seasonal magic and events to get you in the festive mood.
The traditional ice rink will once again take pride of place in the square
opposite the Town Hall, remaining open until 14 December.
School groups will visit during the mornings from 9 to 12 December. Afternoon opening hours during those days will be 16:30 to 19:30.
From 12 to 14 December, the rink will be open from 11:00 to 14:00, and from 16:30 to 20:30.
The fair will officially open on Friday 12 December with two key moments. Enjoy the unveiling of the Nativity Scene and the switch-on of the Christmas lights. The Choir of IES San Pascual will sing a few carols to the start of the celebrations.
Dolores Christmas Fair
From 12 to 14 December, a variety of stalls will showcase the very best of Dolores businesses, with products, new releases and special festive offers.
Visitors can also enjoy a full programme of activities. These include children’s workshops, live music, performances, and parades. Prepare for visits from Christmas characters such as Father Christmas. Discover the traditional theatrical route “Christmas of Yesteryear”, and a Sunday concert by the Dolores Unión Musical Society. The festivities will end with a prize draw.
A message from the Mayor
Joaquín Hernández confirmed: “We want this fair to fill our town with festive spirit, to show the whole region what we can offer, and to encourage people to come and visit us.”
“We have fourteen stands set up in the square, with lovely wooden cabins beside the ice rink, and our businesses will be presenting their best: clothing, footwear, wines, photography and much more. We will be here throughout Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with varied opening hours.”
“At the end we will hold a prize draw for all customers who take part.”
