Getting home after a night out on the Costa Blanca will be much easier this summer as Alicante’s late-night TRAM service returns for weekend travel.
From Friday 3 July to Saturday 29 August, extra late-night and overnight trams will run every Friday and Saturday. The service gives residents and visitors a safe alternative to driving during the busiest weeks of the season.
Late-night services on key routes
The extended timetable covers the network’s busiest lines, connecting Alicante city centre with many of the Costa Blanca’s most popular coastal destinations.
Extra overnight services will operate on:
- Line 1: Luceros to Benidorm
- Line 2: Luceros to Sant Vicent del Raspeig
- Line 3: Luceros to El Campello
- Line 4: Luceros to Playa de San Juan
Line 9 between Benidorm and Garganes (Altea) will also run extra late-night services. Trams will stop at every station except Sangueta.
Supporting safer summer travel
Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) operates the seasonal service. It follows the extra transport provided during Alicante’s Hogueras celebrations and the International Fireworks Competition.
The extra trams aim to help people reach beaches, nightlife areas and summer events without using their cars, especially on busy weekend evenings.
Extra trams for Castell de l’Olla
FGV will also run a special service on Saturday 8 August for Castell de l’Olla, Altea’s annual fireworks display, which attracts thousands of spectators each summer.
