Just south of the centre of Torrevieja lies Cala Ferris, a small cove that feels a world away from the busy beaches of the Costa Blanca.
Surrounded by palm trees, sand dunes and clear Mediterranean water, this quiet spot offers visitors a more natural and relaxed alternative to the crowded urban beaches nearby.
Unlike many beaches in the area, Cala Ferris has kept its wild character. There are no large tourist facilities here.
A natural beach with a unique landscape
Cala Ferris is around 200 metres long and about 20 metres wide, with a mix of golden sand and rocky areas.
Beneath the water, the seabed is home to Posidonia seagrass meadows, an important Mediterranean marine plant that helps keep the water clean and clear. Because of this, the sea here is often very transparent and full of marine life.
However, visitors should note that there are no beach bars, showers or sunbed rentals.
Things to do at Cala Ferris
Although it is a quiet and undeveloped cove, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the area.
