Pinar de Campoverde is getting ready for three days of fiesta fun, with salsa, bachata, flamenco, live music and a children’s water and foam party all on the programme.
The festival runs from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 August, with all activities taking place in Plaza Florida.
Pilar de la Horadada Town Hall has put together a programme covering three very different evenings, starting with Latin dancing on Friday, followed by live music on Saturday and family activities to finish the weekend on Sunday.
Friday: salsa, bachata and live music
Friday 21 August gets the weekend moving with an evening dedicated to dancing.
Carlos and Raquel will lead a bachata workshop from 20:00, followed by a salsa workshop with Marcelo and Maribel at 20:30.
DJ Caramelo takes over at 21:00 for a social dance session before Zona VIP perform live from 22:00.
So anyone who has been promising themselves they would finally learn a few salsa steps has an opportunity to put that theory to the test.
Saturday: flamenco and The Beatles
Saturday 22 August brings another evening of live entertainment, beginning
at 21:00 with Coro Castañuelas, directed by Raquel Peña.
Grupo Flamenco La Amistad follows at 21:30.
The musical direction then changes considerably at 23:00 when The Beatles Dúo take to the stage with their tribute to The Beatles to close Saturday night’s programme.
Sunday: water and foam party
Sunday 23 August turns the attention to younger residents and visitors with a children’s water party and foam party.
The event will include water slides and games, bringing the three-day programme to a suitably splashy conclusion.
All of the weekend’s events take place in Plaza Florida in Pinar de Campoverde, part of the municipality of Pilar de la Horadada.
