Villajoyosa’s popular Street Food Market returns to the seafront next month for four evenings of international cuisine, live music, family entertainment and artisan stalls.

The third La Vila Street Food Market takes place from 2 to 5 July in Parque de la Antoneta.

Organisers will open the market each evening from 20:00 to 00:00. Visitors can enjoy food trucks serving dishes from around the world, alongside a design market featuring local art, fashion and illustration.

Four nights of entertainment

The programme opens on Thursday 2 July with children’s entertainer Clown Edy at 20:00.

Later that evening, at 22:00, comedians Juan Ibáñez and Dani Fontecha will perform a stand-up show. Both are writers and regular collaborators on the Spanish television programme El Hormiguero.

On Friday 3 July, storyteller Alexandre Morera will entertain younger visitors at 20:00. The Liverpool Band will then take to the stage at 22:00 with a tribute to The Beatles.

Saturday’s programme begins with a storytelling session by Cuentina at 20:00. Control Stone, a Rolling Stones tribute band, follows at 22:00.

The event concludes on Sunday 5 July. Children’s entertainment starts at 20:00, followed by a live concert from Bultacos at 22:00.

Part of a busy summer programme

La Vila Street Food Market follows this year’s Maror Fest, which takes place on 26 and 27 June.

The back-to-back events give Villajoyosa two consecutive weekends of music, culture and gastronomy.

The summer programme also includes the return of Estiu a la Senyoreta de l’Hort, which opens on 26 June.

Food, music and family fun by the sea

Organisers have once again created a programme aimed at all ages. The event combines food, culture and entertainment in one of Villajoyosa’s most scenic locations.

Mayor Marcos Zaragoza said the market has become one of the highlights of the town’s summer calendar. Visitor numbers have continued to grow each year.

He described Parque de la Antoneta as an ideal venue where families and friends can spend warm summer evenings by the sea.

Youth councillor Carlos Soler said the market offers something for everyone. He highlighted its mix of food, music, culture and children’s activities.
