Calling all music fans: The Elda Guitar Festival is set to strike a chord once again.
Elda is tuning up to become the international hub of the guitar this Autumn. Throughout October and November, the city will host a packed line-up of concerts featuring world-class musicians from seven different countries.
The fun begins on Friday, 3 October at 20:00 in the Castelar Theatre with the big opening concert: “Horizontes y Sueños” (Horizons and Dreams). On stage, you will find the Castilla-La Mancha Camerata Orchestra, joined by soprano Marina Payá and guitarists Pepe Payá and Francisco Albert Ricote. Expect music for voice, solo guitar, guitar duo and full orchestra. In short: a proper treat for the ears.
Tickets are already on sale online, so head to the Servientradas website before they all go.
After that, the festival moves around town, filling different venues with the sound of six strings. From classical to tango, duos to orchestras, there is a bit of everything.
