The fiestas in Elche celebrating the Virgin of the Assumption drew over 450,000 people to the streets during the eight days of celebrations.
The festival kicked off on 7 August and wrapped up on 15 August with a spectacular fireworks display from the Ferrocarril Bridge.
Attendance at specific events included more than 150,000 visitors at the municipal barraca concerts, 100,000 in the leisure and gastronomic area. 45,000 at the Crida a la Festa on 1 August, and around 80,000 spectators at the daytime and nighttime mascletàs (firecracker displays) throughout the week.
The night bus service proved popular, carrying over 10,000 passengers across five nights between 23:00 and 06:00. Eight routes were operated, three within the urban centre and five through surrounding districts.
Finally, the festival website, fiestasenelche.es, received more than 150,000 visits, while posts on social media reached over 1.6 million people, generating more than 3 million impressions.
