Heading into central Benidorm for shopping, work or a bite to eat could cost a little less this month. A new parking promotion is offering a 34% discount at three public car parks across the city.
Benidorm Council and parking operator Telpark have launched the Multipass offer, which runs until Tuesday 29 September.
The discount is available at the Mercado Benidorm, Tomás Ortuño and Ametlla de Mar car parks.
How the Benidorm parking offer works
The app displays both the normal and discounted prices before purchase, so drivers can see how much they will save.
After buying a Multipass package, users link their vehicle registration number to the service. Cameras at the car park then read the number plate when the vehicle enters and leaves.
That means there is no need to collect a ticket on arrival or make a separate payment before leaving.
Drivers can also change the registration number linked to their Multipass through the app. This allows the passes to be used with different vehicles when required.
The promotion particularly targets people who regularly drive into central Benidorm for work, shopping, appointments or leisure.
Electric vehicle charging discount
Electric vehicle drivers can make an additional saving.
Multipass packages include a 30% discount on EV charging until Thursday 31 December at participating charging points in the three car parks.
This charging offer lasts longer than the 34% parking promotion, which ends on 29 September.
Supporting shops and restaurants
Benidorm Council has timed the campaign to coincide with the return to normal routines after the main summer holiday period.
The council hopes cheaper parking will make it easier for residents and visitors to reach shops, the municipal market, restaurants and other businesses in and around the centre.
Mobility councillor Francis Muñoz said September brings plenty of everyday activity back into central Benidorm and that the scheme aims to make access easier while supporting local businesses.
Telpark says Multipass provides a fixed-price option for drivers who know they will need to use the car parks several times.
Anyone interested in the discounted passes can find the five, 10 and 20-pass options directly through the Telpark mobile app until 29 September.
