ASOKA animal shelter will host a Christmas Charity Dog Walk on Sunday 21 December to raise funds, promote responsible adoption, and increase awareness.
Participants can walk one of the shelter’s dogs, helping give animals visibility and a better chance of adoption. The event takes place at ASOKA’s facilities on Camino Lo Arques, s/n, in San Bartolomé.
Three sessions are scheduled at 10:15, 10:45, and 11:15. A €5 donation is required, with proceeds funding veterinary care, food, and animal welfare.
An informal talk on volunteering will follow the final session. Places must be reserved in advance by emailing asokaorihuela@gmail.com with a preferred time.
Donations are also welcome from those unable to attend.
ASOKA: Charity calendar
Alongside the event, ASOKA Orihuela is continuing the sale of its 2026 charity calendar. Featuring dogs and cats currently in the shelter, the calendar is available in exchange for a donation of €6.00.
The aim is to share the stories of these animals while helping to cover the centre’s day to day running costs.
Calendars can be purchased during the Charity Dog Walk or by contacting the shelter directly.
