The HOP! Performing Arts and Circus Festival in Villena begins on Monday 25 August with Pilots, a travelling circus show.

The parade sets off at 19:00 from the Jardines de Los Salesianos, winding its way through the streets before landing at the Fairground.

Five performers will mix juggling, acrobatics and clowning in a story about a group hunting for the perfect spot to stage their pedal-powered race.

The festival continues on Tuesday 26 August at 19:00 in the Pirámide de la Plaza de Toros with a family-friendly circus with juggling, acrobatics and just the right amount of clownish chaos.

Later, at 22:00 in the Fairground, La Trócola Circ presents an acrobatic dive into the world of dreams, featuring human towers and amazing feats.

Wednesday 27 August sees Atempo Circ strongman bring 128 kilogrammes to the Plaza de Toros Pyramid with two performances at 19:00 and 20:00.

At 22:00 in the Fairground, BotProject takes over with Collage, a trampoline show packed with flips, balances and jumps.

Thursday 28 August opens at 19:00 in the Fairground with Martini & Manzani’s Mice (The Rat Circus), a post-apocalyptic tale brought to life with clowning, circus skills and oversized structures.
