Torrevieja is getting ready for a historic weekend as the city hosts its first intercultural festival, Mosaico Fest, from 17 to 19 April.
The event will bring together 12 cultures for three days of music, dance, gastronomy and family activities.
A city of 123 nationalities
Torrevieja is one of the most diverse cities on the Costa Blanca. According to January 2026 census data, residents from 123 nationalities live in the city.
Councillor for Social Welfare, Óscar Urtasun, described Torrevieja as “a miniature world map”, adding that the festival aims to celebrate the city’s intercultural identity.
“This festival is not just a celebration, it’s a meeting place to showcase what we truly are: a diverse and cosmopolitan community,” he said.
