Monóvar has just uncorked a new summer experience that blends local wine, and some of the best views in the area with “Night of Stars and Wine”.
Enjoy a series of open-air evening tastings at the new Torre viewpoint. Visitors will be able to sample local wines beneath the summer sky.
Nights of Stars and Wine in Monóvar
The event brings together three of Monóvar’s best-known wineries: Bodegas Ortigosa, Santa Catalina del Manyar and Bodegas Monóver.
Each evening will feature a different theme and wine selection. The winemakers themselves will guide guests through the tastings.
The first event takes place on Friday 12 June with Bodegas Ortigosa and a tasting called “History, Sea and Wine between Monóvar and Tangier”. Visitors will also get the chance to try the new Tangerian wine.
On 26 June, Santa Catalina del Manyar hosts “Glasses and Notes at Sunset”.
Then, on 2 July, Bodegas Monóver closes the series with “The Universe of Monastrell”, celebrating the region’s signature grape variety.
Tourism councillor Mª Amparo Maestre said the project forms part of Monóvar’s strategy to promote more unique and sustainable tourism experiences while supporting local wineries and businesses.
Booking information
Each tasting costs €20, and visitors must book in advance through the Monóvar tourist office. A €5 deposit is required to secure a place.
