Do you fancy a taste of Germany without leaving the Costa Blanca? La Nucia’s Oktoberfest returns this October with beer, German food and plenty of live music.

The popular event celebrates its 38th edition from Thursday 1 to Sunday 11 October.

Organisers will once again set up a large marquee in the car park at the Estadi Olímpic Camilo Cano.

Entry is free throughout the event. Visitors only pay for their food and drinks inside the marquee.

German food and live music

Food plays a big part in Oktoberfest, and this year is no exception.

Visitors can tuck into German favourites including sausages, pork knuckle, sauerkraut, chicken and pretzels. Vegan options will also be available.

German group Steinsberger will provide live music during the festival.

The marquee opens from 18:00 until 00:30 on weekdays. On Fridays and Saturdays, the party continues until 01:00.

There is one exception. On Friday 9 October, the Valencian Community Day public holiday, Oktoberfest opens from 12:00.

The event will close on Monday 5 October to give staff a day off.

Motorbikes and rock at Thunder Day

Beer and German music are not the only attractions this year.

Thunder Day returns on Sunday 4 October with a mixture of motorbikes and live rock.

Mel Custom La Nucia is organising the event, which starts at 10:00.

The programme includes a motorbike gathering and ride, followed by three live rock performances.

Booking a table

You can simply turn up and enjoy Oktoberfest, but groups can also reserve a table in advance.

Bookings require a minimum group of four people.

Organisers ask for a €5 deposit per person. Visitors receive the deposit back in cash when they arrive at the marquee.

Reservations are already open, and organisers recommend booking early because of the event’s popularity.
