Benissa is preparing for another busy summer after unveiling its ‘Viu l’Estiu 2026’ programme.
The schedule brings together three months of concerts, outdoor cinema, guided walks, traditional fiestas and family activities across the municipality.
Running throughout July, August and into September, the programme combines cultural events, local traditions and seaside activities.
Summer begins with live
music
July opens with the return of the SONE Festival. Concerts will take place in some of Benissa’s most picturesque locations, including Pinada de Selva, Placeta Vella and Plaça del Convent Franciscà.
The opening programme features Babalú Route 66, Flamenco y Otros Sones with Irene Carrión and Óscar Zoilo, the Valencia String Quartet performing 4Pop.es, and The Salsa Crew.
Outdoor cinema and guided walks
Outdoor cinema also returns this summer. Screenings will take place in Plaça Germans Ivars and beside La Fustera Beach, giving audiences the chance to enjoy films under the stars.
Visitors wanting to discover more of Benissa can also join a series of guided tours showcasing the municipality’s rich heritage.
The ‘Sunsets with History’ walks will explore the historic centre in several languages on selected evenings during July and August, departing from Plaça Rei Jaume I.
Full moon walks along the Ecological Coastal Path also return. Participants are encouraged to pack a picnic dinner.
Fiestas and local culture
Benissa’s traditional fiestas de las partidas once again form a major part of the summer calendar.
Celebrations will take place in Pedramala, Benimarco, Lleus, Santa Anna, Pinos, La Fustera, Pouet de Berdica, Benimarraig, Canor, Sant Antoni, Paratella and Benimallunt, with each district hosting its own festivities.
The programme also includes exhibitions, traditional music and community performances throughout the summer.
The exhibition Llar al ras, organised by GAB, opens on 16 July in the historic centre and runs until 6 September.
Visitors can also enjoy performances by local groups including the Rondalla Cultural de Benissa and Colla El Riberer, as well as concerts by Daisy’s Swing Band on 8 August and Cucumpà Orquestra on 22 August.
Free buses return for summer
Alongside the events programme, Benissa will once again operate its popular Benibús service.
The free bus will connect the town centre with the coast until 27 September.
A free shuttle will also run to Collao Swimming Pool while the facility remains open during the summer.
