On Saturday, 18 October 2025, the town will unveil the very first “Teulada Moraira, City of Culture and Sculpture”.
It is an ambitious project launched by the Council that will turn the municipality into an open-air contemporary art museum for six months.
Culture and sculpture: Art in Teulada Moraira
Seven sculptures by world-class artists will be displayed across squares, promenades, and well-loved corners of Teulada Moraira. Each piece has been chosen to encourage visitors to see familiar places in a new light.
While the town becomes a gallery under the sky, the Teulada Moraira Auditorium will host an extensive indoor exhibition. The exhibition will feature sixty-four works by leading contemporary sculptors. Together, they offer a rich snapshot of Spain’s three-dimensional art scene, a feast for anyone who enjoys form, texture, and creativity.
New chapter for Teulada Moraira
The project marks an exciting new chapter for Teulada Moraira. Councillor for Tourism Verónica Martínez described it as a unique opportunity to showcase the area’s cultural depth. Mayor Raúl Llobell emphasised the town’s ambition to take its place on the international art map.
The event also aims to extend the tourist season, drawing visitors well into the spring months.
The grand opening will take place on Saturday, 18 October at midday in the Teulada Moraira Auditorium. Art enthusiasts, culture seekers, and the simply curious are all invited to attend what promises to be one of the most impressive sculpture showcases of the year.
