Could the Costa Blanca get any more festive? Benejúzar certainly thinks so. The town has unveiled its full Christmas programme for 2025.

Celebrations begin on Friday, 5 December, and run through to the arrival of the Three Kings.

One of the first big moments will be the switching on of the Christmas lights on Sunday at 19:30 in the Plaza de España.

The first event arrives on Friday, 5 December, with the Lyrical Concert “Homenaje a la Constitución Española” at 21:00 in the Auditorio Eloy García López.

The weekend continues with the official lighting of the Christmas decorations on Sunday, 7 December, a moment the town looks forward to every year.

On Saturday, 13 December, the Alicante Provincial Youth Orchestra (OJPA) will give a Christmas Concert at 19:30 in the auditorium. Sunday 14 December, brings one of the season’s most popular events: the Charity Market “Bienvenidos a la Navidad.”

The market will be held in the Plaza de España from 10:00 to 14:00. At 13:00, the draw for the “1.000 por Hora” local shopping campaign will take place. On Monday, 15 December, at 19:00, the Benejúzar Musical Union will hold its auditions in the auditorium.

Festivities continue to build toward Christmas. On Saturday, 20 December, the Santa Claus Motorcycle Parade leaves the Plaza de España at 18:00. On Sunday, 21 December, the Christian Christmas Bingo begins at 16:00 in the Indoor Sports Court. This is followed by the traditional Christmas Concert of the Benejúzar Musical Union at 18:30 in the auditorium.

Christmas Eve in Benejúzar

Christmas Eve brings a morning filled with family activities. On 24 December, from 10:00 to 13:30, Santa’s House will be open in the Plaza de España, accompanied by a festive parade from the Musical Union. At 12:00, the Dance Factory academy will perform in the square.

The programme resumes on Friday, 26 December, when children can enjoy games from 11:00 in the Plaza de España. From 16:00 to 21:00, a virtual-reality experience will be available in the Sports Pavilion next to CEIP Antonio Sequeros, with registration required.

On Saturday, 27 December at 18:30, the Auditorio Eloy García López will host the children’s theatre show “La Fábrica de Chocolate.” The next day, Sunday 28 December, the town will hold the 8th San Silvestre Walking Race. The race starts at 09:30 in the Plaza de España.

New Year’s celebrations

New Year’s Eve will be celebrated twice in Benejúzar, offering festive fun for all ages. To begin with, at 11:00 on 31 December, the Children’s New Year’s Eve party will kick off in the Plaza de España. Later that same day, at midnight, the traditional chimes will ring out in the same location to officially welcome 2026.

Following the New Year celebrations, the programme continues with more family-friendly activities. In particular, on Thursday, 2 January, children’s games will return to the Plaza de España at 11:00. Meanwhile, on Sunday, 5 January, the festive spirit continues at 18:30 with the performance of “El Mágico Circo de la Navidad” in the auditorium. Finally, to bring the Christmas celebrations to a close, the much-anticipated Grand Cabalgata de Reyes will take place that same evening, beginning at 18:00.

According to Councillor for Tourism Patricia Rodes, this year’s programme not only encourages the people of Benejúzar to enjoy their town at its most festive, but also invites neighbours from across the region to take part, discover the celebrations, and experience everything Benejúzar has prepared for the holiday season.
