It’s all happening in Finestrat this festive season, so hold on to your hats. The town has prepared a full Christmas programme packed with music, markets, lights and plenty of magic.

The celebrations begin on Friday, 5 December at 18:00 in Plaça de la Unió Europea. Finestrat will switch on its Christmas lights on the giant tree that dominates the square. There will be hot chocolate for everyone and a musical performance.

Christmas music continues on Saturday, 6 December at 18:30 in the Auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura. The Rondalla Cordes i Veus Font del Molí will perform together with the Costa Blanca Quartet from Alicante.

On Monday, 8 December, the Casa de la Cultura hosts “The Little Prince”. The show blends storytelling with works by Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Saint-Saëns and Puccini. It begins at 18:30.

Christmas in Finestrat

On Tuesday, 9 December, an intergenerational Nativity workshop will take place at the Centre de Jubilats i Pensionistes, where pensioners and young people from Finestrat will work together to assemble the grand Nativity Scene for the first time.

From Friday, 12 December at 18:00 until Sunday, 14 December, the Christmas Market will bring festive colour to the town. Christmas stalls, handcrafted goods, live music, and storytelling. Enjoy visits from Santa Claus and toy makers, pop-rock carols, and circus acts. Magic and comedy will fill the streets.

Finestrat’s senior residents will enjoy their own celebrations on Wednesday, 10 and 17 December. There will be gatherings featuring carols, hot chocolate and traditional sweets. The first will take place at the Centre Social de La Cala and the second at the Llar de Pensionistes in the historic centre.

More Christmas music arrives on Saturday, 20 December at 18:30 with a concert by the Coral de Finestrat. The following day, Sunday, 21 December at 18:00, the Centre Musical Puig Campana will perform the Santa Cecilia Concert.

Santa Claus is coming to town

On Tuesday, 23 December, Santa Claus will visit La Cala de Finestrat, giving children the chance to hand over their letters just in time for Christmas Eve.

Those who wish to continue the celebrations late into the night can head to the traditional Ball de Nadal at midnight, organised by the Comissió de Festes La Xirimbela.

On Sunday, 28 December at 18:30, the company Taules Teatre will present “Snow White and the Magic Mirror”, a fresh musical take on the classic story. Tickets are available at agendafinestrat.es, priced at €6, or €4 for the balcony seats.

The year will come to a close with the New Year’s Eve Dinner hosted by the Comissió de Festes La Xirimbela, a festive moment to welcome 2026 together.
