Alicante-Elche Airport is preparing for a record summer season, with a wave of new routes launching between March and September.

Several airlines are introducing brand new connections, while others are extending winter services into the summer schedule.

One of the biggest highlights is the arrival of Royal Air Maroc, which will operate from Alicante-Elche Airport for the first time with flights to Casablanca.

Another major addition is FlyOne’s new route to Ereván, Armenia, launching in June. At 3,800 km and around 4 hours 30 minutes flight time, it will become the longest route from Alicante.

In total, around 15 new routes will be introduced throughout the summer season, with services launching gradually from late March through to September.

Alicante-Elche Airport: New routes in March

The first new routes begin at the end of March:

  • London Luton | Wizz Air | From 31 March | 5 weekly flights
  • London Gatwick | Jet2 | From 26 March | 3 weekly flights, rising to 5 in peak summer
  • Constantina | Vueling | From 26 March | Wednesday and Sunday
  • Viena | Austrian Airlines | From 29 March | Wednesday and Sunday
  • Hannover | Eurowings | From 31 March | Tuesday and Saturday
  • Milán Malpensa | Wizz Air | From 28 March | Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday

April brings more new connections

April sees several additional routes launch:

  • Friedrichshafen | Ryanair | From 1 April | Wednesday and Saturday
  • Luxemburgo | Luxair | From 1 April | Wednesday and Saturday
  • Casablanca | Royal Air Maroc | From 1 April | Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
  • Saarbrücken | Ryanair | From 2 April | Thursday and Sunday

New routes arriving in May and June

More long haul and international options arrive in May and June:

  • Tánger | Vueling | From 2 May | Tuesday and Saturday
  • Ginebra | Swiss Air | From 28 May | Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
  • Belgrado | Air Serbia | From 1 June | Monday and Friday
  • Ereván | FlyOne | From 4 June | Thursday and Sunday

Venice routes confirmed for September

Two new routes to Venecia Marco Polo Airport will launch in September:

  • Venecia Marco Polo | Ryanair | From 1 September | Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday
  • Venecia Marco Polo | Wizz Air | From 15 September | Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

Extended summer routes

In addition to the new routes, several winter services will continue into the summer season:

  • Santander | Vueling | 2 weekly flights, launched October 2025
  • Bratislava | Ryanair and Wizz Air | Extended from winter season
