Who doesn’t love a plate of patatas bravas? Crispy spuds, a bit of spicy sauce, maybe a cold beer on the side… it’s the sort of snack that makes life worth living.
From 17 to 19 October, Valencia is giving the humble bravas the full red-carpet treatment with the return of Mahou Bravas Fest at the Plaça de l’Aigua de la Marina.
For three days straight, visitors can tuck into some of the best bravas in the city, served up by Valencia’s top restaurants. Enjoy live music, workshops, raffles and lessons on how to cook the best bravas.
When to turn up:
- Friday 17 October: 18:00–00:00
- Saturday 18 October: 12:00–00:00
- Sunday 19 October: 12:00–22:00
Getting in won’t cost a penny, just grab a free downloadable ticket from the website.
If you would rather miss the queues, there is also a Fast Pass ticket. That one gets you priority entry, a tapa and a drink for up to four people.
Whose bravas are best?
The highlight of the weekend is the big competition to decide the best patatas bravas in Valencia for 2025. Expect plenty of debate as the public cast their votes and a panel of foodie experts have their say.
If nothing else, it’s a brilliant excuse to enjoy patatas bravas in all their glory! All in the name of research, of course.
