Art lovers on the Costa Blanca can now visit Mujeres que Inspiran (“Women Who Inspire”), a new exhibition that has officially opened at L’Auditori de La Nucia.
The exhibition brings together 19 paintings created by 15 female artists from the art schools of La Nucia and Altea la Vella.
Visitors can explore the collection free of charge in the Sala Llevant exhibition space until 31 July.
Celebrating inspiring women through art
All 19 artworks focus on women as their central theme.
The artists drew inspiration from famous figures such as Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Amy Winehouse.
In addition, the collection includes portraits of relatives, friends and anonymous models.
Most of the pieces use oil painting techniques, while some artists experimented with mixed media styles.

A growing art scene in La Nucia
The exhibition follows last year’s successful Creadoras showcase, which featured work from eight students at the school.
This year’s larger collection highlights the artistic growth of the students and the increasing popularity of the art programme led by Tachi Lloret.
During the opening ceremony, Culture Councillor Pedro Lloret praised both the quality of the artwork and the role the school now plays in strengthening La Nucia’s local art scene.
