Hop on: Free summer bus returns to Pilar de la Horadada. Image: Pilar de la Horadada Ayuntamiento.

Getting around town without a car is once again easier this summer thanks to the return of the free local bus service in Pilar de la Horadada.

The circular route links some of the area’s most popular residential and coastal neighbourhoods, making it easier for both residents and visitors to travel between the beaches and the town centre during the busy holiday season.

Route connects the coast and inland areas

The bus runs between Mil Palmeras, Torre de la Horadada, El Mojón, Pilar de la Horadada town centre and Pinar de Campoverde.

Rather than operating as a loop, the service follows a linear route before returning in the opposite direction once it reaches the end of the line.

Along the way, it stops at dozens of locations, including residential areas, shopping districts, parks and public facilities.

Longer summer timetable

The summer timetable runs from 1 July to 31 August, with services operating from 9am through to the evening.

The first bus departs Mil Palmeras at 9am, while the final service leaves at 7.40pm.

Services from Pinar de Campoverde also begin at 9am, with the last departure at 7.30pm.

Journey times shown on the timetable are approximate and may vary depending on traffic conditions.

No weekend service

The free bus operates Monday to Friday only.

There are no services on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays, so passengers planning weekend trips will need to use alternative transport.

Accessible for all passengers

The council has confirmed that all buses on the route are fully accessible for passengers with reduced mobility.

Full timetables and stop information are available on the Pilar de la Horadada Town Hall website.
