Craft and antique markets on the Costa Blanca are always worth a mooch around. You never know what treasures you might find hidden away.
Here are some of the most popular ones in the area:
Xaló Rastro – Farmhouse Market
In the town of Xaló, the Xaló Rastro is held every Saturday from 09:00 to 14:00. Located on the Alameda promenade, this well-known antiques market has over 250 stalls selling vintage furniture, ceramics, coins, stamps, and other collectables.
At the same time, in the Plaza Mayor, the Mercat de la Terra offers organic produce and handmade local foods, including jams, cheeses, fruit, vegetables, and meats.
Handicraft Fair in El Albir
Next to the beach at Racó de l’Albir, this fair runs daily from 18:00 to 00:00, from July until September. It features a mix of traditional and modern crafts, including jewellery, ceramics, decorations, and artwork.
Craft and antique markets on the Costa Blanca: Altea Handicraft Fair
Held in the Plaza de la Iglesia, the Altea Handicraft Fair takes place from 27 to 31 March during Holy Week, and again from 1 July to 8 September, every evening from 19:00 to 00:30. Artisans sell high-quality handmade items made from wood, silk, glass, metal, and more. All sellers are certified craftspeople, offering original and carefully made products.
Alicante Artisan Market
On San Juan Beach in Alicante, the artisan market sets up along Avenida de Niza from 1 July to 1 September. It’s open Monday to Thursday from 18:00 to 01:00, and on Fridays, Saturdays, and the eve of public holidays until 02:30. The market has a laid-back, bohemian feel and sells a wide variety of handmade items, including leather goods, jewellery, crafts, and clothing.
Mercat del Riurau – Jesús Pobre
Just 10 km from Dénia, in the village of Jesús Pobre, the Mercat del Riurau takes place every Sunday in the Riurau at Benissadeví. During summer, it runs from 18:00 to 23:00, bringing together farmers, bakers, and craftspeople offering fresh produce, baked goods, and handmade products.
On the first Sunday of every month, there’s also a Collectors and Vintage Fair in the town hall square. You’ll find antiques like furniture, ceramics, lamps, and old watches.
