Dolores is preparing for a colourful weekend as its Intercultural Days return this month.
Do you fancy tasting flavours from around the world without leaving the Vega Baja?
The fifth Jornadas Interculturales de Dolores will take place on 16 and 17 May. The event brings together international communities for one of the town’s most popular cultural celebrations.
A weekend of culture, music and food
The festivities begin on Saturday 16 May at 19:00 with the official opening ceremony. An inaugural parade will also fill the streets with cultural groups, local associations and residents representing different nationalities living in Dolores.
On Sunday 17 May, activities continue from 13:00 with one of the weekend’s highlights: the international tapas tasting.
Visitors can sample dishes from around the world for just €1 per tapa. Organisers will donate the proceeds to social initiatives.
Throughout the day, live music, traditional dances and cultural performances will showcase the many communities that call Dolores home.
More than just a festival
The Intercultural Days aim to celebrate diversity in Dolores and strengthen connections between residents from different backgrounds.
Over the years, the event has grown into an important social and cultural gathering. It now attracts families, associations and visitors from across the region.
