Altea is getting ready to host the third edition of its International Cuisine Days, running from 8 to 17 May.
The event will bring together 13 restaurants from both Altea and Altea la Vella, offering dishes from around the world.
The initiative focuses on giving people the chance to try different cuisines without leaving the area.
A mix of flavours from around the world
This year’s event includes dishes inspired by countries across Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. Among them are Serbia, Peru, Argentina, Austria, Japan, Italy, Nepal, Brazil and Morocco, among others.
Participating venues include:
- El Pulpo
- E-tika
- ‘Tío Ennio
- Austriaco
- Ombú
- La Fornera
- Terraza Oliva
- Ristorante Zero81
- Pinxos i Punt
- Boteco del Bustamante
- Melitón Jardín
- el Tajín de Oro
- Himalaya Tandoori
Each restaurant will offer its own menu or dishes linked to a specific cuisine.
A growing event
According to organisers, the event has grown steadily and is now firmly established after three editions.
One of the new elements this year is the involvement of international chefs working locally, who will highlight their own culinary backgrounds within the participating restaurants.
More than just food
There is also an incentive for visitors. Diners who take part will be able to enter a prize draw, with rewards including meals at participating restaurants, wine packs and other food-related prizes.
The aim is simple: encourage people to explore local restaurants while enjoying a wider mix of international flavours.
