Burger lovers have another date for the diary this summer as Burger Manía arrives in Alicante for an 11-day celebration of everything between a bun.
The travelling food festival takes over the Plaza de Toros from Thursday 6 August until Sunday 16 August, bringing together some of Spain’s best burger food trucks, live entertainment and plenty of sweet treats.
Entry is free throughout the event.
More than 20 burgers to try
Burger Manía has earned a reputation for showcasing some of the country’s
most creative burger makers, with vendors travelling from regions including Madrid, Valencia, Galicia, Asturias, León and Mallorca.
Visitors can choose from more than 20 different gourmet burgers, with prices starting at €12. There will also be gluten-free options and children’s menus, making it an event for the whole family.
The festival has a competitive twist too. Visitors don’t just eat the burgers, they also vote for their favourites. The most popular creations will go through to a grand final later in the tour.
Save room for dessert
It’s not just burgers on the menu.
Food trucks specialising in homemade cheesecakes, waffles and chocolate-covered strawberries will also be serving desserts, alongside a range of toppings including fresh strawberries.
Whether you fancy a classic cheeseburger or something a little more adventurous, there should be plenty to tempt every appetite.
A popular stop on the summer tour
Burger Manía has already visited destinations including Torrevieja, Villena, Tarragona, Palma de Mallorca and Vinaròs, attracting thousands of visitors along the way.
Its Alicante stop promises the same mix of street food, entertainment and family-friendly fun that has made the festival one of this summer’s most popular travelling food events.
Leticia Sabater opens the
festival
The event gets underway on Thursday 6 August with a free concert by entertainer Leticia Sabater, who takes to the stage at 22:30.
Live music will continue throughout the festival.
