Valentine’s Day in Alicante: Prizes, photo booths
Under the slogan “The good things are found in local shops”, the city will host eight promotional events across the different locations. Furthermore, shoppers can enter a prize draw by having their photo taken at the booth and completing a contact card. The municipal commerce offices will hold the draw on 16 February.
To collect a prize, winners must present a receipt dated 14 February from a local shop or hospitality business in Alicante.
Prizes include restaurant dinners, baskets of produce from the municipal markets. In addition, you can win beauty treatments, jewellery, scarves and a variety of gifts donated by neighbourhood businesses.
The Central Market’s flower stalls will also open especially for Valentine’s Day, from 07.00 to 18.00, making it easier to buy flowers throughout the day.
‘Find your Match at the Market’
A separate campaign runs in Alicante’s four municipal markets until Friday 13 February under the slogan “This Valentine’s Day, find your Match at the Market”. Shoppers receive entry slips with their purchases, giving them the chance to win:
- 20 traditional food baskets
- ten €20 market gift cards
- a ham
- promotional gift packs
Pla-Carolinas joins in
The Pla-Carolinas Traders’ Association is also launching its own Valentine’s promotion. The association will raffle a €50 dinner voucher to use at participating local restaurants.
Anyone aged over 18 can enter. Just like the competition post on the association’s Facebook or Instagram pages and tag the person you would like to share dinner with. What’s more, the association will select the winner at random and announce the result on social media.
