Benidorm is calling all ladies over 50 to get active. The Department of Sports has announced the launch of the ‘Actíva-t Fest’ programme, designed to encourage healthy and active ageing. Councilor for Sports, Javier Jordá, summed it up simply: “Your health, our goal.”
Jordá explained that the initiative is aimed at promoting well-being, health, and physical activity among residents and visitors over 50 through a range of free sports activities. The programme begins on Monday 19 January and will run on a regular schedule for an initial three-month period.

Activities will be led by specialised instructors and take place at a variety of locations across the city, including the Palau d’Esports, Foietes Park, El Moralet, Sierra Helada, Séquia Mare Park, the Guillermo Amor Sports Complex, community centres, Tossal de La Cala, and Levante and Poniente beaches.
The schedule is varied, with options such as group walks, swimming, aquagym, Pilates, adapted running, beach pétanque, tai chi, yoga for seniors, light weightlifting, Zumba, dance fitness, adapted paddle tennis, historical hikes, coastal walks, and kayaking.
