Almoradí has closed 2025 with a modest but steady increase in its registered population. As of 31 December 2025, the municipality had 23,430 registered residents, an increase of 482 people compared with the previous year.

The figures are based on municipal records which will be refined and cross-checked at national level. They nonetheless reflect what the council describes as stable, balanced and sustainable demographic growth.

Population growth over the past year has been driven by both natural change and movement on the municipal register. The population remains almost evenly balanced by gender, with 11,769 men and 11,661 women.

Nationalities and population of Almoradí

Spanish nationals continue to make up the largest group, with 17,296 registered residents. Among foreign nationals, the most represented communities are Moroccan (3,074 residents), British (586) and Colombian (541).

Over the past year, the Spanish population increased by 249 people. Growth was also recorded among Colombian residents (+46) and Venezuelans (+44).

The Moroccan population has remained largely stable, with an increase of just 26 people over the past four years. The council says this reflects continued checks and updates to the population register, including verification of actual residence carried out by municipal services and the Local Police.

The number of British residents has fallen slightly, continuing a trend observed since the United Kingdom left the European Union. Romanian registrations also saw only a minor change, with a decrease of eight residents.

Births, deaths and registrations

During 2025, Almoradí recorded 183 births, including 124 to Spanish nationals and 59 to foreign nationals. There were 97 boys and 86 girls born during the year. In the same period, 161 deaths were registered, leaving a positive natural population balance.

The Census and Statistics Department processed 1,462 new registrations and 1,165 de-registrations over the year. Of these, 292 de-registrations resulted from inspections identifying expired or improper registrations, while 40 registration applications were rejected for failing to meet legal requirements.
